Terms & Conditions
The current terms & conditions outline general ecommerce guidelines, including order confirmation, pricing, intellectual‑property rights and limitations of liability. The following revisions will ensure that the terms align with the warranty card:
-
Limited Warranty Clause - Introduce a clause explaining that Amekra products include a microcontroller for enhanced performance and come with a limited warranty for the original domestic purchaser. Define the warranty durations (2 years for mainline/TV/refrigerator stabilizers, 3 years for AC stabilizers, 5 years on transformers) and state that warranty claims are subject to inspection.
-
Exclusions from warranty - Specify that the warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, mishandling, physical tampering, removal of warranty seals, acts of God (fire, flooding, lightning, earthquakes), voltage fluctuations beyond the operating range, cabinet damage or external electrical faults. Burnt or physically damaged units are expressly excluded.
-
Customer obligations - Require customers to retain the original purchase invoice and register their product using Amekra’s warranty registration process. Customers must use the original packaging for any returns or replacements and bear shipping costs for subsequent replacements.
-
Replacement options and charges - Add a clause outlining that after the first free replacement, customers may choose between keeping their existing cabinet (paying for round‑trip shipping) or receiving an “as‑new” unit with a new cabinet, which will incur 30 % of the product’s original price plus shipping. If a replacement model is unavailable, Amekra may provide a refund after deducting shipping and handling charges.
-
Post‑warranty clause - State that once the warranty period ends, Amekra is no longer obligated to provide service, repair or replacement. Any concerns arising beyond the warranty term fall outside the scope of support.
-
Liability limitations - Clarify that the warranty covers only repair or replacement of the Amekra stabilizer and does not cover damage to appliances connected to the stabilizer or losses caused by fire, short circuits or external electrical issues. Amekra’s liability remains limited to the cost of the purchased product.
- Jurisdiction - Note that any disputes related to the warranty are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and authorities located in Delhi, as mentioned on the warranty card.
