Refund & Return Policy
The existing refund & return policy states that customers must notify Amekra within 3–7 days if a product is defective or incorrect, and returns are accepted only if the product is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. Replacements are provided after inspection, and refunds may be offered when stock is unavailable. To incorporate the warranty card terms, the following additions and clarifications are recommended:
-
Limited‑Warranty Returns - Specify that Amekra offers a limited warranty to the original domestic purchaser. The warranty covers only defects in materials or workmanship; misused, mishandled or burnt units, or products with broken warranty seals, are not eligible for return or replacement.
-
Warranty durations - Note that the stabilizer has different warranty durations depending on the product: 2 years for Mainline, TV and Refrigerator stabilizers; 3 years for AC stabilizers; and 5 years on the transformer. Claims must be made within the applicable term and are subject to inspection.
-
Return packaging - Emphasize that customers must retain and use the original packaging to return products; poor packaging during transit may void the claim. Burnt or physically damaged units will not be covered.
-
Replacement process - After a warranty claim is approved, Amekra will arrange a free pick‑up and replacement for the first eligible replacement. If the same unit fails again within the warranty period, customers can choose between: (1) fixing the internal issue while keeping the original cabinet (customer pays two‑way shipping), or (2) receiving a replacement with a new cabinet, which incurs 30 % of the original purchase price plus pick‑up and delivery charges. If a replacement model is out of stock, a refund will be issued after deducting shipping and handling charges.
-
Documentation - Require customers to include the original invoice and warranty card when returning a product. Inform customers that failing to do so may delay or invalidate the replacement.
-
Products purchased during sales - Keep the existing clause that sale items can only be returned if they arrive damaged or defective.
- Exclusions - State that returns are not accepted for items showing signs of installation, physical damage or tampering, for products damaged by voltage fluctuations beyond the operating range, or for damage to connected appliances.
These additions make clear that the warranty is for repair or replacement of the stabilizer only and do not cover consequential damages.
